The loss of a beloved pet is undeniably a hard time for the family left behind. Our pets give comfort and joy with very limited demands. They teach us compassion, caring and responsibility. They help us feel less lonely and isolated.
Have you thought about how you will care for your pet upon it’s passing?
When the Steamboat Springs Animal Shelter was built space was deigned for a crematorium but there were not enough funding to equip it. A group of concerned pet-lovers have created the Rainbow Bridge Fund. The cost to purchase install and train is estimated to be $35,000 and it is a goal to have it up and running by October, 2004.
