VizAbilities Group for Vision Loss

There is a "Vizabilities" Support Group that meets once a month at each of the senior Nutrition sites in Routt County. This is primarily for Seniors who are experiencing age-related vision loss due to Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma, Stroke, Diabetes, and other problems.

Information is shared as well as support is given to people experiencing vision loss. For more information Call Cathie at 736-2412 or 638-4231 and Shelly 879-0633

. Information and referral. Referral and collaboration with existing programs and service providers.

. Help in finding appropriate housing, employment and transportation.

. VizAbilities Group and Individualized teaching for persons with vision loss.

. Private Disability Related Counseling and Guidance.

. Socialization and Sign Language Group for Deaf and hearing Sign Language users.

. Housing Independence Program to make home improvements that keep people with disabilities in their own homes rather than in institutions.

.Finding funds to help people with disabilities get and benefit from assistive technology, equipment, and services they need.
