Statistics showed that as of 2001 there were over 1700 Veterans in Routt County.
The Veterans Service Officer assists residents of the State of Colorado who served honorably in the United States Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, Navy, Marine Corps, or any other armed service of the United States
or the surviving spouse, administrator, executor, guardian, conservator, or heir of any such veteran,
or any other person who may have proper claim,
...by the filing of claims for insurance, pensions, compensation for disability, hospitilization, vocational training, or any other beneftis which such person may be or may have been entitled to receive under the laws of the United States or the State of colorado by reason of such service.
This office provides personalized local service to Veterans and other claimants, and assists in cutting through the maze of "red tape" frequently involved in direct dealings with governmental agencies.
