DEVELOPING A ROUTT COUNTY LIVABILITY INDEX
Economic Index Chart [Click here to view full size picture]
Help Wanted / Wednesday, June 13th

Many communities measure and provide an annual livability report on those assets that contribute to their community’s health and vitality. By identifying those assets that are our valley’s benchmarks and providing an annual report, we will provide meaningful data to both business and elected officials.

Currently we measure and report on only one economic indicator and that is sales tax. As our economy grows and becomes more complex the need for a variety of measurements becomes clearer. We measure what we value so we are asking interested members of our valley to help design a Routt County Livability Index that will be updated each year, much like the Consumer Price Index.

Our initial meeting to begin developing a local livability index will be June 13, 2007 from 5:30pm to 7:30pm at Bogue Hall on the CMC campus room 100. Snacks and coffee will be provided.

Please call Noreen Moore at 870-4461 or email Noreen.
